J.Crew Jeweled Jardin Jacket

Monday, May 9, 2011

I was watching Oprah today (one of her last few shows) and saw her wearing my jacket! I wanted this baby so badly from last year's collection, but it was just out of my reach at $495. Yikes. She looked simply fabulous in it.

If anyone has one or knows where I can pick it up today for less than the above price, send me an email please! I am still holding out for it.

"My Perfect Spring Look" Challenge

Tuesday, March 22, 2011

The multi-talented Jess Constable of Make Under My Life and the awesome jewelry line, Jess LC Jewelry, is running a contest this week. The challenge is to design your 'perfect spring look'. The winner receives 2 beauties from her line and $200 towards the look! Check mine out.

I've been lusting after this shirt for some time now, so I created the whole look around this baby. I was going for a fun, colorful look to wear out to a spring dinner with hubby and friends.

Wish me luck and oh by all means please vote for me!!!!

Sweater Love

Sunday, December 12, 2010

As the weather gets colder, my thoughts turn to chunky and cozy sweaters to keep me warm. I love the idea of layering anything from a silk blouse to a simple long, cotton t-shirt with heavy sweaters.  And who says you can’t look stylish, while staying warm in the cold days of winter? Here are some of my favorites this season! Picture these babies with your favorite tall boots. Lovely don’t you think?

And this cutie below, I just couldn’t leave out. Although not ideal for the coldest of days, I could totally see this paired with black skinny pants and layered with a fun scarf!

Belle Parish by Ali Landry

Tuesday, October 19, 2010

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending my very first fashion show thanks to my friend Sonia. Her girlfriend, the fabulous Ali Landry, presented her new children's line during fashion week in NY, and Sonia's beautiful daughter was in the model line-up. What sweet delight that was!

You may know Ali Landry as the ever-so popular Doritos rep and as a former Miss USA.

These days she is the co-founder and co-designer of Belle Parish, a children's clothing line inspired by her southern upbringing. Aren't these pieces just precious?

I can't wait to see what's next in this line! We need to get some boys' clothes in there, Ali!

Happy October!

Wednesday, October 13, 2010

I just love October. There’s something about the colors and the coolness in the air that always fills me with a warm sense of excitement and anticipation.

Perhaps it’s the sight of the wide array of gourds and the numerous possibilities of what to do with them...bake them, decorate with them, make jack-o-lanterns……the list just goes on.

Or maybe it’s the excitement around Halloween and the process of decorating and finding just the right costume. Last year I dressed up as an “Ethereal Ghost” inspired by the costume that Martha Stewart makes for Grandinroad. I'm still pondering what to do for this year.

Or the exultation of the Fall fashion trends…..

Perhaps I'm just biased. My birthday happens to be in October and so I've always thought of this time as magical and so very special. What's on my birthday wishlist, say you? Well, I'm so glad you asked!
